Funding
The Cal-PReEMPT project is funded for five years (2004-2009) by the National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) under the Monitoring and Event Response to Harmful Algal Blooms (MERHAB) program, part of the NOAA National Ocean Service. Cal-PReEMPT is the second regional MERHAB program on the U.S. west coast.
Partnerships
Cal-PReEMPT is a partnership between many organizations. Core partners include the University of California Santa Cruz, the California Department of Health Services, and the NOAA National Ocean Service. Cal-PReEMPT is also affiliated with the Center for Integrated Marine Technology (CIMT) and the Central and Northern California Ocean Observing System (CeNCOOS).
